A massive initiative to distribute one million copies of the Holy Bible across Nigeria was launched on Sunday in honour of Barrister Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, during a thanksgiving service at the National Christian Centre in Abuja.
The event, coordinated by Hon. Belusochukwu Enwere, National Chairman of the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN), was organized by friends of Seyi Tinubu. The Bibles are set to be shared through churches and community groups nationwide, aiming to foster moral renewal, ethical leadership, and civic responsibility among young Nigerians.
Hon. Enwere emphasized that the project transcends personal celebration, stating, “The one million Bible project is a gift to the body of Christ and a seed for moral transformation. We aim to restore integrity, compassion, and love for humanity among our youth.”
The service, held concurrently in approximately 40 churches across the country, featured prayers and messages centered on national renewal. Rev. Ini Ukpuho, Chaplain of the National Christian Centre, led the proceedings and offered special prayers for the Tinubu family and the nation. Clergymen from various denominations hailed the initiative as a vital response to the declining moral values in society.
In a statement read on his behalf, Seyi Tinubu expressed gratitude to the organizers, underscoring the importance of faith and moral education for responsible citizenship and national development.
The first batch of Bibles was presented during the service, with distribution to churches, schools, and youth ministries scheduled to begin in the coming weeks.
